How to Create a Town in Towny
Short answer: To create a town on LivaMC Towny, stand where you want your town centre and type /t new [name] (or /kasaba new [name]). It costs 150 TL, about ten minutes of play. Then claim neighbouring chunks with /t claim for 25 TL each and keep the town bank filled for daily upkeep. LivaMC Towny is opening soon.

Money on LivaMC Towny is TL, a virtual in-game currency. It is separate from the money on other LivaMC modes and cannot be exchanged for real money.

How much land you can claim
Each resident gives the town 8 chunks of claim allowance. Town levels, the Belediye (town hall) building and a VIP mayor bonus add more. For example, the Köy (village) level adds 8 chunks and Büyükşehir (metropolis) adds 48.
Choosing the right place
- Your town centre decides your regional resources, such as honey and wheat in Anatolia or iron in Europe.
- Towns cannot be founded within 128 blocks of a World Wonder.
- Open sea gives no regional goods.
- The town centre (homeblock) can be moved once every 7 days.
Upkeep and bankruptcy
Upkeep is paid every day from the town bank. If the bank cannot pay, the town goes bankrupt: it has debt and cannot expand. If it stays bankrupt for 7 days, the town is disbanded. Residents who do not log in for 30 days are removed from the town. The mayor can set a resident tax: up to 100 TL per day as a flat tax, or up to 25% as a percentage tax.
Protection for new towns
A newly founded town cannot be sieged for 7 days (168 hours), giving you time to build and find members. Blocks on your land are protected from other players.
